On arrival the boys got to meet Martin & John, who both work as inspectors in the station. Martin & John brought the boys on to the train to see the inside the cab- some even got to pull the horn. Station master Anthony gave the boys a guided tour of the station’s museum and signal room. A few boys got to try on his hat as well. Afterwards, Anthony & John brought the boys down to the old signal box which is one of only 4 train stations to feature on an Irish stamp! It was a lovely end of year treat for the boys and huge thanks to the Irish Rail staff in Clarke Station for a thoroughly enjoyable morning.
